One of the biggest trades in Toronto Blue Jays history was made a decade ago.
In July of 2015, the Toronto Blue Jays sent José Reyes, Jeff Hoffman, Miguel Castro, and Jesus Tinoco to the Colorado Rockies for LaTroy Hawkins and Troy Tulowitzki.
Of course, adding an All-Star-calibre shortstop to a dangerous lineup only helped the Blue Jays.
In 2014, Tulowitzki slashed .340/.432/.603 with 21 home runs in 375 plate appearances for a 170 wRC+.
From 2009 until 2014, Tulowitzki slashed .309/.385/.553 with 143 home runs in 2,853 plate appearances.
Two days later, Tulowitzki hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the third in his debut game, kicking starting a magical run in 2015 that has only been rivalled by what the Blue Jays are doing in 2025.
Troy Tulowitzki made his Blue Jays' debut in the 2nd game of a series against the @Phillies, batting leadoff for the first time in his career. He would finish the game 3-5, with a home run, 2 doubles, and 3 RBI. Toronto would win 8-2.
Troy Tulowitzki joined Blair & Barker on Sportsnet 590 to talk about his friendship with Bo Bichette, the atmosphere at Rogers Centre and the current teams run
Jeff Blair asked Tulo his thoughts on the type of year Bo is having in 2025:
"I always start with the wins and losses, that's how I always look back on my year. If our team made the playoffs over all I felt like if we over achieved or met expectations I start with that. Overall the Blue Jays are having a great year so therefore I think Bo is having a great year. Personnaly I still think he has a chance to lead the league in hits. The guy just knows how to hit, there's a two-strike approach, he's a pain for opposing pitchers, there's a presence about him. He's special when he's on that field..."
Tulowitzki also shared his thoughts on getting traded from the Rockies, playing for Toronto and what it was like on those magical runs in 2015/2106.
"The atmosphere is second to none. I know people heard about that - Bo would be like, 'those games were sweet to watch, hope we can get that atmosphere back' ... They're in for a special run."

Tulowitzlki is currently an infield and hitting coach with the Texas Longhorns.
