Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer seemed to be the golden boy at the start of the season but now has now hit a rough patch. The Toronto lineup as a whole hasn't been hitting much lately, however Springer stands out more than most.
Update regarding George Springer's numbers at the plate
Springer had everyone in shock to start the season as he was on fire at the dish after having the worst year of his career in terms of production in 2024, which is why no one expected him to be so good at the beginning of the season.
However things have taken a turn for the worst lately as his hot start has cooled down quite a bit as he currently is hitting .182 in his last 30 games with a .343 slugging percentage.

During yesterday's 13-0 loss to the Rays, his struggles were on full display as Springer had a terrible game in which fans were joking around online that it might have been the worst inning for a right fielder in MLB history.

Springer still has time to turn things around as he proved at the beginning of the season.
If Popkins can get Springer back on track they will only benefit from an additional solid bat in the lineup and his trade value going forward.
