Toronto Blue Jays vs Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 of the 2025 World Series

There was nearly seven hours of baseball Monday night between the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers.

It will go down as one the greatest games ever played.
It was a contest that featured everything... 18 innings, 19 pitchers, 609 pitches, and Shohei Ohtani setting another record by reaching base nine times, including on four intentional walks.
The bullpen for the Blue Jays, which had been its weakness, didn't allow a run for 11 innings. Ditto for the Dodgers.
Both teams emptied their bullpens. Toronto used of all their bench players, Lose Angeles nearly did as well. Great defence, base running mistakes, unsung pitching heroes. Game 3 had everything. It was truly an epic night.
Madness in Los Angeles. Wow.

Freddie Freeman just walked off the #BlueJays in the 18th inning, a home run to straightaway centre off Brendon Little.

One of the greatest World Series games you will ever see.
Over 700 World Series games have been played and Game 3 of the 2025 edition has to rank near the top.
Did we mention that Clayton Kershaw entered in the 12th inning with the bases loaded and two outs? Hollywood scriptwriters couldn't come up with a better ending.

Both teams have experience with long and epic World Series games

This is neither teams first clash with epic postseason experiences either. Back in 2018, there was another 18 inning game in the World Series. It was also Game 3 and it also featured the Dodgers winning.
For the Blue Jays, many older fans will remember their 11 inning, 4-3 in Game 6 against the Atlanta Braves to clinch the series, or their 4+ hour 15-14 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies the following year. Many younger fans will remember Game 5 of the 2015 ALDS against the Texas Rangers, featuring a 53 minute 7th inning that will be talked about for generations.
And yet, all of those past experiences seem to pale in comparison to what the baseball world witnessed on Monday night.
Now let's do it all again.
