Will Bo Bichette be in a Toronto Blue Jays uniform in 2026?

It's been a question that's been plaguing the All-Star shortstop and the only organization he's ever known since the season began back in March.
Now, as the Jays approach the World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Bichette is speaking on his potential future with Toronto.
Given Vladimir Guerrero Jr..'s massive contract extension as well as Bichette's late-season injury, there was a question about serious talks were between the two sides in regards to the 27 year old remaining in Canada, much like his long-time teammate and friend.
When asked about his future, Bo Bichette says "my goal is to stay here for my entire career," while adding that right now he doesn't have time to think about it.
It looks like Bo has finally commented, remarking in the affirmative that he would like to stay in Toronto.
While he also stated that he is currently focused on helping the Blue Jays win the World Series for the first time in 32 years, Bichette had a special message for Blue Jays Nation.
My goal is to stay here for my entire career.

However, Bichette also added that he doesn't currently have time to think about it, noting that the future is the present for the Blue Jays.

Bo Bichette bolsters Blue Jays' World Series lineup

Back from a left knee sprain that cost him seven weeks, Bichette played second base for the first time since 2019 in the Minor Leagues.
Bo Bichette speaks on how he felt playing second base in his first game back with the Blue Jays 😆
It's clear the star shortstop isn't at 100 percent, which is why he was shuffled to the other side of the bag, but the Blue Jays' 11-4 win in Game 1 was a glimpse of what this could look like.
Bichette singled through the right side in his first at-bat and later walked to open the sixth inning, which grew into a nine-run eruption for the Blue Jays.
This was never going to be a perfect re-entry for Bichette after so much time out of game action, but the organization has to be thrilled with what it just saw.
«I thought Bo, offensively, looked like him,» manager John Schneider said. «He gets a knock on a 3-0 changeup and then working the walk, man, was really impressive. Bo's a tough guy to walk. He's up there ready to hit. So I thought he handled himself really well. His at-bats looked like him. The play up the middle was kind of the thing we were looking for, and he handled it, made a good throw.»

Bichette's best position is being in the lineup. He just showed why, and regardless of what the Game 2 lineup and defense look like, the Blue Jays need Bichette making that slow walk to the plate again.
Whether or not this is Bo's last hurrah with the Blue Jays, the next 10 days is bound to be one heck of a show.
