Remember the name Cutter Coffey.

The Blue Jays infield prospect put himself on the radar with a very strong showing in the Arizona Fall League season.
Unlike most top prospects however, Coffey wasn't drafted by the Blue Jays, instead coming over in a trade with the Red Sox that sent catcher Danny Jansen to Boston.
Coffey, who is listed as the Blue Jays 27th overall prospect, slashed 328/.427/.406 with an .833 OPS. in 76 plate appearances.
While Coffey didn't hit any home runs, he showed potential to get on base by hitting five doubles and also stole three bases.
He also showed strong plate discipline, walking 11 times against 14 strikeouts. His 13 RBIs ranked third on the roster for the Glendale Desert Dogs.
Cade Doughty & Cutter Coffey were the biggest #BlueJays standouts during the 2025 AFL season, which ended last night for the GDD.

Doughty: (22 PAs) -- .316/.409/.579, .426 wOBA, 47.1 HH%, 3 BB & 2 K

Coffey: (76 PAs) -- .354/.447/.462, .404 wOBA, 42% HH%, 11 BB & 14 K
Coffey's AFL breakout came just in time as well. Though he has yet to play above High-A Vancouver - where he spent the entirety of the 2025 season - he has a projected MLB arrival date of 2027 and appears bound for Double-A New Hampshire in 2026.

Coffey has key Blue Jays attribute of positional flexibility

While Coffey's primary position is third base, he has also seen time and both short stop and second base, Coffey could end up a right-handed hitting compliment to Addison Barger, and someone who hits lefties well.
He'll be one to watch in 2026.
