Thanks to the many donors and supporters to the
Jays Care Foundation and its related programs, over 78,000 kids across Canada have been given the chance to play baseball in some form.
On National Philanthropy Day, we're celebrating the incredible donors and supporters who have given over 78,000 kids across Canada the chance to play baseball through Jays Care programs. Thank you for your generous support! 💙
The Jays Care Foundation, which is the charitable arm of the Blue Jays, uses the game of baseball to give kids across Canada a place on a team where they belong.
Jays Care believes that baseball for development programming can play an important role as an effective low-cost intervention to address pressing mental and physical health challenges for children and youth across the country.
The Foundation is operational in all ten provinces as well as the territories, and has invested nearly $15 million into building or refurbishing more than 160 community baseball diamonds across Canada.
The foundation has been recognized as one of the top charitable organizations in Canada.
Fans can now work for Jays Care
In addition to donations, the Jays Care Foundation is also looking for new volunteers to join their affiliate schools team.
No previous experience is necessary and volunteers will be sent free hats and shirts.
In addition to being recognized as one of the top charities in Canada, the Jays Care Foundation has also twice won Major League Baseball's Commissioner's Award for Philanthropic Excellence.
