Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Andres Gimenez had an MRI and is day to day with right quad tightness, which will force the club to make a roster move (s) heading into the series with the Seattle Mariners.

According to Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith Gimenez got a precautionary MRI on his quad. Results tbd. Day to day for now.
Nicholson-Smith also stated that Buffalo Bisons shortstop Michael Stefanic is on his way to join the Blue Jays in Seattle. Stefanic, 29, was pulled in the middle of Thursday's game playing for the triple-A Buffalo Bisons.
The Blue Jays are short on infielders & Stefanic was just pulled mid-game at AAA. Could be taxi squad type precaution, or roster move could be coming.
Myles Straw actually started 14 games at SS for the 2019 Astros, a 107-win team. Six years ago. Not his role anymore. But he could likely handle it for a few innings if needed.
In 40 games for the Bisons this season, Stefanic is slashing .232/.301/.255.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Jose Urena will travel with the team and start in sundays game against the Seattle Mariners.
Urena made his Blue Jays debut in Tuesday's series opener against the Angels. He started the game and gave up four hits and two earned runs while striking out four over 4.1 innings.
The 33-year-old swingman agreed to a major league deal with the Blue Jays on Saturday.
