Toronto Blue Jays top prospect Trey Yesavage pitched for the Buffalo Bisons on Sunday afternoon, but it didn't go great.

After an impressive first relief appearance earlier in the week, Trey Yesavage missed the mark in his follow-up.
The Toronto Blue Jays' top pitching prospect was only able to notch one out in an erratic relief appearance against the Syracuse Mets on Sunday.
Yesavage entered the game in the top of the fourth inning as a replacement for starter Easton Lucas.
He left one out later with a line of 0.1 innings pitched, two runs (one earned), two walks and one hit.
Of the 18 pitches the top Blue Jays prospect threw, only eight of them were for strikes.
Yesavage generated two whiffs on six total swings, with both whiffs coming on four total swings of the splitter.
He threw seven fastballs, with the heater averaging 94.2 mph and touching 95.4 mph.
Trey Yesavage faced just four hitters in his second appearance out of the bullpen at Triple-A Buffalo. He issued a pair of walks after entering in the top of the 4th, got a flyout and then was removed after an error loaded the bases. 8 of his 18 pitches were strikes.

Trey Yesavage struggled with his command in second relief appearance with the Bisons

The only out Yesavage got was from Hayden Senger, as the Syracuse Mets' catcher lined out. Yesavage also induced a swing and miss in this at-bat, one of just two whiffs he got in the game.
Former Blue Jay Luis De Los Santos was the last batter Yesavage faced, and although he generated a groundout, an error was committed, and all three runners were safe.
In his Triple-A career, Yesavage has a 4.40 ERA in 14.1 innings pitched, with 22 strikeouts and 11 walks.
This is the second time he's appeared out of the bullpen with the Bisons and the third time in his minor league career.
It's believed that he could be an option for the Blue Jays' bullpen down the stretch.
While Yesavage wasn't added to Toronto's 40-man roster ahead of roster expansion on Monday, he could still be post-season eligible via a Commissioner's exemption to replace an injured player, a hurdle that has commonly been cleared for top prospects since MLB changed its ruling in 2014.
