Another season, another year of MLB experts betting against the Toronto Blue Jays.

This act is getting tiresome.
In spite of Toronto having the best record in the American League, many experts when asked, still chose the New York Yankees as the team to beat in the ALDS.
A recent article on CBS Sports polled five baseball and writers and experts.
Every single one of them New York as team who wins the ALDS..
To their credit, they all they had the series as going the maximum five games, but it still feels disrespectful to the team who was one of the best in baseball during July and August.
The Yankees and Blue Jays clash for the first time ever in the postseason!

Who takes the series? Odds via @FDSportsbook
The predictions are all the more interesting when one factors in the fact that the Blue Jays won the season series against the Yankees and also owned one of the best records at home during the 2025 season.
The fact Toronto has home field advantage during the series, might give them the edge that they need.

Experts say its offence versus bullpen

Although all the prognosticators are picking New York, they also say that it will be one of the best playoff series this postseason, lasting the full five games.
While both teams can hit and while both teams have questionable bullpens, the Blue Jays injury concerns - especially when it comes to shortstop Bo Bichette - gave the edge to the Yankees in the minds of the experts.
And yet, it still feels like many of these experts don't truly understand or don't fully watch the team.
One writer claims that the Blue Jays lack a true ace, and yet any reporter who covers the team will tell you that Kevin Gausman has been the ace for the last four years.
Also, while the Yankees came on strong in September, erasing a five game deficit atop the AL East, momentum just made be in the Blue Jays favour.
