Ernie Clement will literally do anything for the Toronto Blue Jays
The utility infielder and native of Rochester, New York loves this team as much as the fans love him. Which is a lot.
It's only increased after his remarkable playoff performance.
In his first postseason, Clement has hit .643/.625/.929 with a double, a home run and five RBIs in four games.

He's exactly the type of player that represents what the Blue Jays are made of, and relishes in it. So much that he will anything - and he means anything - to get this team, and the city, its championship.
In a recent postgame interview, Blue Jays manager John Schneider mentioned at one point during the season, Clement was the emergency back-up catcher for the team. As if Clement wasn't superhuman enough.
You can put him anywhere. I remember him saying, 'You can put me behind the plate, I'll catch.' I think he was actually our emergency catcher at one point. He's really, really fun to have, and his style of play can get a little bit contagious. He's been really, really valuable to us this year.

I just care so deeply about everybody in this room and in the team. And I just think when you put the team first, good things happen.
While it's unlikely that Blue Jays fans will see ErnDog behind the dish at any point, Clement is the type of player that could - and would - do it
He is the heart and soul of the 2025 Blue Jays. John Schneider and the fans wouldn't have it any other way.
