Game recap: Lucas fans eight

The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Boston Red Sox 4-0 in Tuesday night action at Fenway Park in Boston. With the win, the Blue Jays have taken the first two games of the series and move to 7-5 on the season.
Easton Lucas made his second start of the season for Toronto, while Garrett Crochet took the hill for the Red Sox in all-lefty matchup.
Lucas, making just his second major league start, looked stellar early on, striking out four of the first six batters he faced. He made great use of his breaking ball, something that wasn't working in first start, and held the Red Sox scoreless as he departed with one out in the sixth. Overall, he went 5.1 innings, giving up just three hits, while striking out eight and walking one.
Crochet also kept the Blue Jays off the board through five. The Blue Jays finally broke the stalemate in the top of the sixth thanks to a solo home run from George Springer his second of the year.
They then got some help from the Red Sox. After Davis Schneider reached on an error by Alex Bregman, Myles Straw walked. Tyler Heineman then singled and a throwing by Kristian Campbell brought home Schneider. Alan Roden then walked load the bases before Bo Bichette delivered a two-run single.
Boston finally got on the board in the seventh thanks to an RBI single by Ceddanne Rafaela.
Bichette added another RBI single in the eighth and Anthony Santander followed with an RBI groundout to put the Blue Jays up 6-1.
Jacob Barnes worked around two singles in the ninth to preserve the win for the Blue Jays.
The two teams continue their series tomorrow as Kevin Gausman takes on Tanner Houck. First pitch is scheduled for 6:45PM ET.
