Former number one prospect Ricky Tiedemann has seen his ranking drop amidst an injury-plagued season.

Formerly the top overall prospect in the Blue Jays system, Tiedemann has seen his rank - and stock - fall, largely due to his injury troubles.
Blue Jays Nation has Tiedemann ranked as the seventh-best overall prospect for Toronto, after having previously ranked him fourth.

Tiedemann has spent virtually all of 2025 rehabbing from Tommy John Surgery. The recovery time for such an injury is usually 10-14 months.
After being drafted in 2021, Tiedemann got off to a great start with the Vancouver Canadians, posting a 2.39 ERA and 2.92 FIP in 37.2 innings pitched, with a 36 K% and an 8 BB%.
Blue Jays Prospect Rankings:

Arjun Nimmala: 69

Ricky Tiedemann: 89

Orelvis Martinez: 98

Jake Bloss: 118

Trey Yesavage: 165
The injury troubles started in 2023 and carried into 2024. After being pulled from a July 10th start last year, he ended up going under the knife as has been recovering ever since.
Tiedemann started the year ranked number two, just behind shortstop Arjun Nimmala, and ahead of Orelvis Martinez, Jake Bloss, and Trey Yesavage. Bloss is now hurt and his recovery will take him into next season. Nimmala had an up-and-down season, and Martinez was recently DFA'd by the organization.
If Tiedemann can stay healthy, he can be an X-Factor for this franchise. Let's hope his injury troubles are behind him.
