While the focus remains on signing Bo Bichette to a long term contract, there are a few other names the Toronto Blue Jays could bring back.

Chris Bassitt, Seranthony Dominguez, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, and Max Scherzer are also officially free agents, their contracts having expired at the end of the World Series.
But will any of them be back?
Bassitt specifically has stated his interest in returning to Toronto, while the 41-year old Scherzer plans on playing in 2026. With Shane Bieber now locked in for next season, the Blue Jays rotation now sits at four. If one or both of Bassitt and Scherzer return, it could bring some welcome stability.
Six Toronto Blue Jays have been declared free agents
Ty France won his first Gold Glove and proved to be a decent back-up for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. since being acquired at the trade deadline in July. While there is value in having true first baseman off the bench, Toronto has several others (Ernie Clement, Anthony Santander) who can both fill in and France is a player who could receive an offer to play everyday elsewhere.
While he faltered a bit in the postseason, Dominguez, another deadline acquisition, proved to be valuable member of the bullpen and one of manager John Schneider's most trusted arms in the final months of the season. However, the Blue Jays will have a couple of relievers returning from injury; it remains to be seen whether Dominguez will fit into their plans in 2026.

Blue Jays will have tough free agent decisions

IKF, who has recently become a scapegoat following the Blue Jays game 7 loss, returned to Toronto as a waiver-wire claim after being traded away in 2024. His positional versatility and ability to play short, second, and third, as well as the corner outfield in a pinch is a plus, but also may be too similar a profile to other players already on the roster.
The Blue Jays will have some tough decisions ahead.
