Toronto Blue Jays play-by-play man Dan Shulman finalist for Hall of Fame Award

The longtime broadcaster for the
Toronto Blue Jays, currently in his second stint with the team, is one of ten finalists the award of broadcasting excellence and given out by the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Shulman has received many broadcasting honours in the past, including a Canadian Screen Award for best Sports Play-by-Play in 2022; this is his third time being nominated for the Ford C. Frick Award.
Ten of the National Pastime's most beloved voices have been named finalists for the Hall of Fame's 2024 Ford C. Frick Award.
Shulman isn't the only nominee with a Blue Jays connection however.
Like Shulman, Doucet has been the recipient of numerous other awards, including the 2004 Jack Graney Award. His is also a member of the Expos Hall of Fame, and was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2020.
Joe Buck, Duane Kuiper among nominees for award; winner to be revealed in December
Other nominees include longtime ESPN host Joe Buck, and former player-turned-broadcaster for the San Francisco Giants Duane Kuiper, who was nominated alongside his partner Mike Krukow.
Shulman was a staple of Blue Jays broadcasts in the mid-90s, when he also moonlighted for ESPN. He eventually joined the network full-time, before joining SportsNet in 2016.
Shulman has been twice-nominated for the award before and was named the Sports Media Canada Broadcaster of the year in both 2000 and 2007. He received the Jack Graney Award in 2020.
