Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette is not likely to return from injury in time for the American League Division Series.
The Blue Jays' American League Division Series roster remains in purgatory as the team battles injuries.
Bo Bichette recently spoke to the media about how he has been progressing and gave no no timetable for his return.
Bichette is seeing daily improvement, but it remains unclear if he will be ready to return from his knee sprain in time for Game 1 on Saturday, general manager Ross Atkins told reporters on Wednesday.
"Every day has gotten better for him he's doing everything possible to be ready as soon as possible," general manager Ross Atkins said.
Blue Jays Bo Bichette has not been running and is unlikely to return in time for the ALDS
ESPN' Buster Olney also stated that his return in 'unlikely' and that Bichette might miss the entire American League Championship Series.
"The Blue Jays have really kept the medical stuff locked down. I don't think he's going to play in the ALDS. It's unlikely we're going to see him this weekend,» said Olney on TSN Radio.»He's going to give it a go this week and see how he feels. I think it's more likely that if the Jays advance, we'll see him in the ALCS." - Buster Onley
Blue Jays manager John Schneider was asked by MLB.com's Keegan Matheson on Bichette's status:

Matheson also asked Vladimir Guerro Jr what his thoughts were on Bo returning for the ALDS and it did not sound promising.

The 27-year-old was in the midst of a resurgent season at the plate, slashing .311/.357/.483 through 139 games while leading MLB in hits and doubles.
Hopefully the Blue Jays will be able to persevere without Bichette in the division series, so that we will be able to see a triumphant return for the ALCS.
