Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette gives update on eventual postseason return

Before the regular season finale, Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Bichette was unlikely to play in a Wild Card Series if the Jays fell out of the division lead.
Winning the American League East title provides Bichette more time to heal and a chance to return.

According to MLB.com's Keegan Matheson Bichette is feeling better everyday and doing everything he can to get back for the postseason.
Bo Bichette says he's feeling better each day:
«I don't have a date, but I will be doing everything that I possibly can to get back.»
The Athletics' Mitch Bannon reiterated that Bichette will definiely benefit the most from the bye to get healthy by the division series next week.

«I'm feeling better every day. I'm feeling better. I don't have a date, but I will be doing everything that I possibly can to get back.»
Bichette articulated his mixed feelings of having to observe from the dugout while being sidelined with a left-knee strain as the team finished off a 94-win season by capturing their final four contests to hold off the surging New York Yankees for the divisional crown.
«This is tough to watch,» Bichette said of his hunger to get back in the lineup. «As much as this team is so easy to root for, it's tough to watch.
With that, it's difficult to gauge how optimistic the fan base should be about an imminent Bichette return, though clinching a first-round bye undeniably is a positive sign.
