The Blue Jays appear to be cleaning house within their farm system again.
This time around they are lesser known pitchers and position players who obviously don't meet the standards of a revamped farm system that the Blue Jays are looking to improve upon in 2026.
Blue Jays release five pitchers and four position players
The team announced that they have released Erinyel Marquez, Manuel Suero, Antony De Los Santos, Edwin Francisco, Alexander Valiente, Carlos Garcia, Esmeiquel Arrieche, Endry Reyes and Nestor Ubina.
The Toronto Blue Jays released the following players:
RHP Erinyel Marquez
RHP Manuel Suero
RHP Antony De Los Santos
RHP Edwin Francisco
RHP Alexander Valiente
C Carlos Garcia
C Esmeiquel Arrieche
1B Endry Reyes
2B Nestor Urbina
This biggest surprises on this list is that the Blue Jays decided to part ways with catchers Carlos Garcia and Alexander Arrieche.
Minor league catching depth has been a need for the club, which means must have a line on better catching prospects going forward
As the off-season is on the horizon, the Blue Jays will likely continue to part ways with more minor league players and prospects as they prepare for free agency.
The free agent market will be loaded with talented players once again as the Blue Jays will have other opportunities to improve their farm systemin the near future.
