Toronto Blue Jays set all kinds of records after Game 3 win

In fact, by scoring 13 runs in their ALCS Game 3 victory over the
Seattle Mariners, they tied a record in the process.
While it was the third time this postseason that they reached double digits in runs, it also gave them 51 runs scored through their first seven games, an average of 7.29 per game.
They have also hit 17 doubles and 15 home runs in that span.
That makes the Blue Jays just second team in MLB history to score 50+ runs and hit 15+ home runs in their first seven games of a postseason. They only other team do accomplish the feat was the 2021
Boston Red Sox.
Unfortunately for that Red Sox team, they flamed out in the ALCS after scoring 57 runs and hitting 20 home runs in their first eight post season games. Let's hope Toronto can enjoy the same fate.
The
@BlueJays
have scored 51 runs and hit 15 homers in their seven postseason games in 2025.
The only other team in MLB history with 50+ runs & 15+ home runs in any 7-game span in a single postseason was the Red Sox in 2021.
The Mariners, being on the receiving end of that historic performance, also set some records of their own, though not necessarily the good kind.
Game 3 saw the Mariners allow five home runs, including a home run in four consecutive innings, 18 hits, nine of which went for extra bases, and 13 runs. Seattle pitchers also threw three wild pitches. They are the first team in MLB history to do or allow of those things in the same game, regular or post season.
The Mariners are the first team in MLB history to:
allow 18+ hits
allow 13+ runs
allow 9+ XBH
allow 5+ HR
allow a HR in 4+ consecutive innings
throw 3+ wild pitches
...all in the same game, regular season or postseason.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. adds to historic playoffs, ties Blue Jays postseason record
Finally, there was an individual record that was reached as well.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. home run in Game 3 was his fourth of the playoffs. That ties a franchise record for most homers in a single postseason. The only player to do it? The legend himself,
Jose Bautista.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. ties José Bautista for the most home runs (4) in a single #Postseason in Franchise History! #WANTITALL
If the Blue Jays hit like they did last night, they have a chance to set even more playoff records.
It could very well happen.
