The Toronto Blue Jays know they have to hit better. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. knows that it starts with him.

After seemingly hitting everything during the ALDS against the New York Yankees, Guerrero's bat has gone cold in the first two games of the ALCS against the Seattle Mariners.
"The only thing we can do is get better, go to Seattle and win some games."

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. on what the Blue Jays need to do in Game 3 of the #ALCS.
Through two games, Vladdy is 0-7 with a walk on no RBIs.
In the four games of the ALDS, he hit 529 with three home runs and nine runs batted in.. If the Blue Jays are going to mount a comeback, their franchise player will need to find his power stroke.
While Guerrero is far from the only Blue Jay slumping these last two games, he is quick to point that he needs to be better.
We need to get better offensively. For example, myself, I had a big at-bat and I couldn't come through. That's baseball. We need to go out there and win games.
.
While he has yet to strike out, which seems to be the Blue Jays team motto this season, he is getting slightly under the ball, leading to more ground balls than the $500MM man would like.

Blue Jays struggling up and down the lineup

Guerrero isn't alone. Players like Addison Barger, Ernie Clement, Alejandro Kirk, and Daulton Varsho, all of whom contributed offensively in the ALCS, have seen their production tail off during the first two games of the current series.
With an off-day on Wednesday, let's hope that a little rest and reset will kickstart Guerrero, and the rest of this offence.
