The question is whether that will happen beyond 2025.
Bassitt's contract is up at the end of the season.
While it felt like Bassitt's three year deal was always transitional in nature, with so much uncertainty surrounding the future of the Blue Jays rotation, Toronto might be wise to sign him for another year.
With Max Scherzer and Shane Bieber also impending free agents, and with the future uncertain for both Alek Manoah and Ricky Tiedemann, re-signing Bassitt wouldn't be entirely out of the question.
If the Blue Jays do decide to move on from the 36-year-old veteran, he could find himself being courted by a number of teams.

Joe Najarian suggested that the Baltimore Orioles would be a good fit.

Who knows, maybe the man with the kitchen sink will be back in blue for another year.
