The Toronto Blue Jays, through their Jays Care Foundation charity wing, have announced the recipients of this year Field of Dreams Fund. The $1.5MM fund will be used to refurbish 15 community baseball fields and diamonds across the country.

While eight of the fields are in cities in Ontario, the funds stretch from coast to coast and include a park in BC; two in Saskatchewan; one in Quebec, two in Nova Scotia, and one in Newfoundland.
It's not all just big cities either. While cities like Windsor and Regina, did receive some funds, so too to small towns such as Hanley, Saskatchewan; Petrolia, Ontario; and Waverly, Nova Scotia.
Jays Care is thrilled to partner with these 15 outstanding organizations, all committed to bringing the game of baseball to more children and youth across the country. These new diamonds will be more than just places to play; they'll be hubs for community connection where young people can get active, learn, and grow a love for the game of baseball. - Jays Care executive Director Peter King

Big winners include Jim Crosbie Park, home of the CBS Raiders in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Soper Creek Park in Bowmanville (technically awarded to the municipality of Clarington).
Clarington mayor Adrian Foster said it's about more than just baseball, it's about community building.
This is a home run for Clarington! Just ask any Major Leaguer, and I bet they fell in love with the sport on their hometown ball diamond. This is where players learn teamwork, celebrate their victories, and dust themselves off after losses. It's where we create memories and build community

The Blue Jays have always been about growing the game in Canada, and the Jays Care foundation is a big part of that goal. The Field of Dreams makes baseball more accessible and affordable, especially to kids in small towns.
Congratulations to all the recipients.
