The Seattle Mariners walked off the Detroit Tigers in dramatic fashion in extra innings on Friday night to advance to their first ALCS since 2001.
With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 15th, Jorge Polanco poked a single through the right side to send Seattle into baseball's final four and the crowd at T-Mobile Park into a frenzy.
ALCS, HERE WE COME!
Friday's game had everything, including two of Seattle's starters - Logan Gilbert and Luis Castillo - appearing out of the bullpen.
While Seattle is the tougher of the two opponents Toronto could have faced in the ALCS, with their top-tier pitching and equally as potent offence, let by home run king Cal Raleigh, Blue Jays fans should talk solace that the roster might not be fully rested for game 1 on Sunday night.

Border series expected to draw big crowds

Regardless of who have the Jays opponent was set to be, the crowds were going to massive as both teams played in border cities. With the Blue Jays set to face the Mariners, legions of west coast Blue Jays fans will now get the opportunity to see the World-Series hopefuls in person.
The ALCS could be a lot more high-scoring as both teams have well-rounded offences that compliment their starting rotation.
Game 1 is Sunday at the Rogers Centre.
