The Toronto Blue Jays take on the Seattle Mariners in the second matchup of a three game set at T-Mobile Park. Bowden Francis is on the bump versus Mariners starter Logan Evans. Bowden Francis (2-5) took a loss in his last outing against the Cleveland Guardians, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Francis has failed to make it through five innings in three straight outings, allowing 14 runs over just 12 innings in that span.

His ERA is up to 5.66 this season with a 1.37 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB across his first seven starts (35 innings) this year.

Francis will look to right the ship tonight at T-Mobile Park against Seattle.

Logan Evans (1-1) get the ball for the Mariners tonight. Evans yielded six runs on 11 hits and two walks over five innings, striking out five and taking a loss in his last outing against Texas.

All six runs against Evans came during a disastrous third inning in which he got pecked to death by six singles and both his walks.

Outside of that frame, only one Ranger reached scoring position. Evans needed 92 pitches to complete five innings and forced only nine whiffs.

He's thrown five frames in each of his first two MLB appearances, but his ERA spiked to 7.20 after Sunday's rough outing.
