To the members of Mariners Nation: We see you, we feel you, we thank you.

We know words can be hollow in the face of heartbreak, especially coming from a nation that caused it.
As a proud member of a long-suffering fanbase, your pain is palpable; to be on the precipice of greatness only to have the air sucked of you so close to the finish line.
We Canadians have been here before, several times. We know all to well how it feels.
Mariner Nation, you, and your city will heal. You are a wonderful place. Coffee, craft beer, grunge music, and co-conspirators of the most exciting sports matches a country has ever seen. Your energy is electric, exciting.
And so while the sting may be sore for the next several months, us Canadians have a message: THANK YOU.
Thank you for being a part of one of the greatest baseball series the world has seen in quite some time.
Your 2025 Seattle Mariners
Thank you for one of the most memorable weeks in recent memory.
Thank you for challenging us, pushing us to the brink, for being the best opponent one could ask for.
Respect.

Around the country, Canadians showing respect for Seattle Mariners

Tears were shed, and understandably so. You're not crying, we're crying.
We know that one day, likely within the near future, you will reach your zenith, your Mount Rainier.
And we will be there, cheering you on when it happens. And it will.
Respect from your expansion cousins, from your playoff rivals, from your friends.
Hope we can do it again next year.
Sincerely,
41 million Canadians.
