The Toronto Blue Jays currently have a 99% chance of at least making the postseason.

In an earlier article, we talked about the team's chances of winning the World Series. While those may be low, their odds of getting to play baseball in October remain high.
Yes, in spite of an uneven bullpen and some key injuries, the Blue Jays find themselves in the driver's seat as the 2025 season heads into its final 10 days.
Not only are they in first place in the AL East, they also have the best overall record in the American League.
Due to their status as one of the top two teams, if the season ended today, the Jays would receive a first-round bye and advance immediately to the ALCS.
The most toxic playoff picture of all time
This is likely the place they'll finish in too. While both the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox are likely to make the postseason as well, taking two of the three wild card sports, Toronto currently holds the tiebreaker over both of them.
If either or both of New York and Boston and Toronto finish with an equal record, the Blue Jays would claim the division, due to having won the season series against both clubs.
Advancing straight to the ALDS is certainly advantageous for the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays' last three playoff appearances have all been as Wild Card teams; they have yet to win a single series - or game - since the expanded format was introduced in 2020.
They have much better luck in the ALDS.
When the Blue Jays made the playoffs in 2015, it was their first time reaching the postseason in 22 years, and also the first time since the ALDS had been introduced. The Blue Jays have won both of their ALCS appearances.
The Blue Jays are sitting on their best chance in years.
