Toronto Blue Jays star Shane Bieber has some advice for Trey Yesavage ahead of his MLB debut versus the Tampa Bay Rays on their final road trip of the regular season.
Yesavage, the Blue Jays first-round pick in the 2024 draft, has completed a lightning-fast trip through the organization and will be thestarting pitcher in the opener of a four-game series at the Tampa Bay Rays.
«It's insane,» the 22-year-old from Boyertown, Pa. said in the Jays dugout at the Rogers Centre before Sunday's 11-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles. «I've always dreamed about this and it's finally come true.»

Cy young award winner Shane Bieber was asked by reporters what advice he had for Yesavage in his MLB debut, to which he replied:
"Just be yourself throe strikes get ahead, enjoy it. It's a special thing and nobody can take that away from you becoming a big league baseball player. I was talking to him this morning, post outing he seems comfortable and ready to go, so I'm excited to watch him and his family."
Meanwhile, Yesavage can help the Blue Jays win. He's struck out 160 batters in 98 innings, an obscene number.
