Blue Jays Central remembers Miller Gardner

Blue Jays Central joins the rest of the baseball world in mourning the passing of Miller Gardner, the 14 year old son of former Major League outfielder and Yankees great Brett Gardner.
Gardner played the entirety of his 14 year career in pinstripes and was an All-Star in 2015.
According to a statement by Gardner and his wife Jessica, the younger Gardner fell ill on vacation along with several other family members. He passed away in his sleep on March 21st.
«We have so many questions and so few answers at this point, but we do know that he passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Friday, March 21st,» Miller was a beloved son and brother and we cannot yet comprehend our life without his infectious smile. He loved football, baseball, golf, hunting, fishing, his family and his friends. He lived life to the fullest every single day.
The Yankees released a statement of their own, saying in part:
Our hearts are heavy, and the Yankees family is filled with grief after learning of the passing of Miller Gardner,» the team said. «Words feel insignificant and insufficient in trying to describe such an unimaginable loss. It wasn't just Brett who literally grew up in this organization for more than 17 years - so did his wife, Jessica, and their two boys, Hunter and Miller.
Blue Jays nation experienced a similar tragedy back in 2022 with the accidental death of Julia Budzinski, eldest daughter of first base coach Mark Budzinski. Julia was killed in a boating accident while rafting.
This is a very difficult time for the Gardner family and those of us at Blue Jays Central send out our heartfelt thoughts to Brett, Jessica, and Hunter.
