The Gold Glove centerfielder is set to join the Buffalo Bisons for approximately five games.
According to Arden Zwelling, the Blue Jays are targeting their upcoming road trip in New York or the team's following homestand vs. Boston as a potential series for Varsho's return.

The 27-year-old played in 136 games with Toronto in 2024, his second season with the team, and slashed .214/.293/.407 for 18 home runs and 58 RBIs.
As expected Max Scherzer (right thumb) has rejoined the team here in Houston and is out throwing. Scherzer received a second cortisone shot, this time in the knuckle area, hoping to help alleviate the discomfort in his thumb.
Scherzer said he can finally start squeezing the ball now (after 2nd cortisone shot).
"It's the best it's (thumb) felt for a while now.. at least we're on the positive.."
