Toronto Blue Jays top pitching prospect Trey Yesavage is being bumped up to double-A and will start for the New Hampshire Fishercats later this week.

Top Blue Jays pitching prospect Trey Yesavage en route to double-A and will start for New Hampshire later this week, per industry source. He dominated A-ball levels and now gets roughly half the season to face better competition.
MLB.com reporter Keegan Matheson reiterated the news shortly afterward.
The Blue Jays are promoting No. 2 prospect Trey Yesavage to Double-A New Hampshire, source says, after making just four starts in Vancouver. He's been the story of the season in a system that's suddenly producing a ton of good ones.

Matheson was asked if there was a real chance that we would see Yesavage in the big leagues this year. Here is what he had to say.
"
Coming into '25, I would have given Yesavage a 0% chance of touching the big leagues. It's still not the likely outcome by any means, but I can't give it a 0% any more. Huge developmental success for the #BlueJays so far, and if he becomes a late option? Bonus on top of a bonus." - Keegan Matheson

Yesavage recorded nine strikeouts over five innings to earn his first win with the high-A Vancouver Canadians on Friday night.
The 21-year-old right-hander from Pottstown, Penn., is among the top minor-league pitchers with 88 strikeouts.
He gave up just one run, a homer in the fourth, and issued one walk during his latest outing.
Yesavage was selected by the Blue Jays 20th overall in the first round of last year's 2024 MLB Draft.
