Torpedo bat's Canadian connection

The new torpedo bat is taking the baseball world by storm. This was evidence by the obscene number of home runs that New York Yankees hit on opening weekend. While power is up across the league, so too is a business for Quebec bat-making company.
According to Marie-Pier Gosselin, General Manager of B45 Baseball in Quebec City, they are now making 25X more torpedo bats than they were previously.
Last Saturday, the demand for Torpedo was zero. Now, that's basically all the requests we are getting.
Gosselin says they have received requests from about 30 MLBers who want to try the bat, including the Blue Jays own Davis Schneider. Gosselin singles out Schneider as one of the reasons for a boom in business.
Davis Schneider... that's kind of the reason why it brought a bit more attention to us. It's a small plant, it's a small team so uh we're a little tired, we didn't expect that for sure, but it's exciting.
The bats were created by former MIT physicist Aaron Leanhardt, who now works as coach for the Miami Marlins, He developed the bat, which has the "sweet spot" closer to the centre, while working as an analyst for the New York Yankees.
While B45 doesn't just make torpedo bats and are not the only bat-making facility to do so, they have certainly become one of the more notable ones in recent days, thanks in large part to Schneider.
As for Davis, he merely shrugs it off.
I need all the help I can get
Who knows, maybe B45 will send him a few free of charge.
