2025 might just be the 'prove it' year that Bo Bichette needs. Blue Jays analyst Caleb Joseph thinks so. So too does Jeff Blair.

The longtime baseball writer and host of the Blair and Barker show on SportsNet made a prediction that Bo will be in the running for the AL batting crown in 2025.
While Bichette has twice led the league in hits - in 2021 and 2022 respectively - he has never won the AL Batting crown.
[Bo Bichette] knows he can do it, everyone knows he can do it - He just needs that little 'prove it' year and I think he's poised for one of those. - Caleb Joseph on Bo Bichette.

And while coming off an injury-plagued 2024 may leave some fans skeptical, many players have also had big prove it seasons after down years or ones lost to injuries.
One thing that could help Bo get into the zone is his new defensive partner up the middle in Andres Gimenez. Bichettehas played with a number of different second baseman over the last several years, none of whom had particularly great range.
Gimenez, who plays second like a short stop, will help take the pressure off and will allow to Bo to ease up defensively. This, in turn, will allow him to become a more focused and concentrated hitter.
Bo taking a shot at the AL batting crown would also positively affect any contract extension he might negotiate with the Blue Jays - or any team - and will only increase his value.
