Josh Naylor hasn't forgotten where he came from.

During game 1 of the ALCS, the first baseman for the Seattle Mariners was spotted with a mini Canadian flag belt buckle on his uniform.
Naylor, the eldest of three baseball-playing brothers, grew up just outside of Toronto in the city of Mississauga and was a Blue Jays fan. Now, he is trying to lead his team against them.
Well that's cool.

Josh Naylor 1st baseman with the Mariners is wearing a Canadian flag on his belt.

That's just in case anyone forgets he's a Canadian from Mississauga!

So whatever happens this series, never boo Josh. He's one of us.

During a press conference, Naylor remarked that the Blue Jays were just "another opponent" and a "team we got to beat", but went on to mention Ernie Clement, Myles Straw, Andres Gimenez, and Nick Sandlin, all former teammates from his Cleveland days..
Those are my boys so I'm happy we're all there. We were all Cleveland boys at one point and they traded us and now we're going [to the ALCS]."

Naylor among key players for Mariners

Acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks at the trade deadline earlier this year, Naylor has become a key player in the Mariners potent lineup.
It's good to know that whatever happens, there will be a Canadian connection in the World Series.
