Over the past several seasons, the Blue Jays have had several legacy players - sons of former big leaguers - come through their ranks. Players like Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, Will Wagner and Daulton Varsho, as well as the departed Cavan Biggio and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. all share impressive pedigrees.
While the third base prospect isn't the son of a big leaguer, he is the child of two great athletes, and the cousin of two more.
McAdoo's father Michael played basketball for Howard University while his mother Wanda ran track for the University of California. His older brother Michael also dabbled in baseball, playing for four years at UC Santa Barbara.
It's basketball though where his family's fame truly lies.
McAdoo's cousin, James Michael, was a college standout for the North Carolina Tar Heels before transitioning to the NBA and winning two Championships with the Golden State Warriors.
Another cousin is NBA Hall of Famer Bob McAdoo who played with the Lakers during their 'showtime' era.
Being an athlete was always in the cards for McAdoo, who was also a high school football stand-out.
While there have been some ups-and-downs and some adjustments for the California native - namely the cold - the Blue Jays are liking what they see.
Manager John Schneider has compared him to Addison Barger.

While Charles is still a year or two away from being big league ready, the McAdoo family could be adding a major league ballplayer to their pedigree before too long.
