Pittsburg Pirates phenom Paul Skenes confirms his plans as trade rumors swirl

There have been a lot of rumors that the Pittsburg Pirates are looking at trading generational talent Paul Skenes which could be big for the Toronto Blue Jays or any other club interested in acquiring him.
If the Pirates are serious about moving Skenes, the Blue Jays would be crazy not to do their due diligence into acquiring him since he is arguably the best pitcher in baseball and is only 22 years old.
Paul Skenes speaks on his future in Pittsburgh and trade rumors
As the trade deadline approaches and the Pirates have very little to no hopes at making the playoffs, there have been a lot of rumors that Pittsburgh is looking to trade Skenes.
Skenes spoke on these rumors, stating that there is no substance to any of these rumors and that at the same time he has no plans on leaving the Pirates as his goal is still to win a World Series in Pittsburgh.
"There's no substance to just all that talk that you hear on social media and news outlets and stuff like that," Skenes said.
Paul Skenes, to me, on hearing his name pop up in trade rumors & his future in Pittsburgh: "When I got drafted, I came in with the intention of winning a World Series here. That hasn't changed. I don't think my days here are numbered by any means."
Skenes did add that there is always a possibility that he is trade if the GM believes it would be best for the organization but at the end of the day that is out of Skenes' hands.
I don't expect it to happen," Skenes stressed. "[But Cherington] is going to look out for what's best for the Pirates. If he feels [trading me] is the right way to go, then he feels that's the right way to go. But you know, I have to pitch well, that's the bottom line." -Skenes
If the Pirates do end up looking to trade Skenes to help their future, the Blue Jays need to make it a mission to offer everything they can to get him to Toronto.
